Stony Plain
Although the Town of Stony Plain is elligible for city status with a population over 15,000 it stil remains as the Town of Stony Plain boasting small town atmosphere and big city conveniences. The region is dominated by agricultural and other resource based industries so its no surprise they have a farmers market and celebrate Farmers Day in the first week of June every year. The town is also famous for its murals with currently 33 buildings being covered in gigantic colourful artwork by Canadian artists which tell the history of the town and area.
