Fort Saskatchewan
25km North East of Edmonton lies the City of Fort Saskatchewan. With a population of approx 23,000, “The Fort” as locals call it, is most commomly know for its proximity to many petrochemical facilities like DOW Chemicals, Sherrit, Agrium and Shell Canada to name a few although there are many more located in the Alberta Industrial Heartland just a short drive north east of there. The Alberta Industrial Heartland is Canada’s largest industrial area west of Toronto and is devoted to petrochemical and heavy industry. These major players provide jobs not just for the locals but forworkers from Edmonton, Sherwood Park and beyond.
