Sturgeon County to the north of Edmonton and surrounding St Albert has very fertile soil which has attracted farmers in the past and now attracting developers building prestigious executive level acreage estate homes. Beyond the edges of St Albert along the banks of the Sturgeon river you can find luxurious homes only a short drive from all the amenities of both St Albert and Edmonton. Also within the boundaries of Sturgeon is Namao which is the largest Canadian Forces inland base.
